The National Institute of Migration (INM) recovered the bodies of three migrants who lost their lives while trying to cross the Rio Grande.
According to a statement, elements of Grupo Beta Piedras Negras, of the INM Coahuila, located three bodies of men floating in the river, two of them did not have identification and one carried documentation from Nicaragua.

In addition, the authorities helped a woman, a two-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy, of Honduran nationality, stranded at the point known as Puente de Ferrocarril.
According to the INM’s Migration Policy Unit, as of April 2022, Mexican authorities have detained 53,639 Central American migrants and channeled 13,223 to their countries of origin.
