“Disconnected”: a new Chilean comedy about links and technology is coming

“Disconnected” is coming, a new Chilean comedy about bonds and technology, starring Javiera Contador, Jaime Vadell, Dayana Amigo, Jesu Haran, and Diego Rojas.Directed by Diego Rougier, it follows Victoria, “a mother addicted to the Internet and work” who “is completely disconnected from her two teenage children, Clara and Julián”, as the synopsis tells us.

“Just as he is about to get the rise of his dreams, a solar storm wipes out the internet all over the world. With her ex-husband stranded in another country, Victoria is forced to be a single mother, without the help of apps or the internet. Can the three of them survive in a world without killing each other?” he asks.

Written by Rougier and Rodrigo Vergara Tampe, and produced by Rougier and Javiera Contador, in association with Picardía Films, “Desconectados” will seek to offer a reflective and entertaining look at digital consumption and human bonds.

Filmed in the cities of Santiago de Chile and Arica, it is the new original production of Amazon Prime Video, a platform that announced that its premiere is scheduled for 2023.
