50 chilpancingo pollerías close due to murders of distributors

After the six murders on Saturday at a chicken farm in the community of Petaquillas, at least 50 establishments selling this food closed indefinitely in the markets located in different parts of Chilpancingo.
This Sunday, in the corridors of the four ships of the Baltazar R. Leyva Mancilla central market, soldiers of the Army, National Guard and state police could be observed taking security tours.
Only in this supply center, located north of Chilpancingo, did the 32 pollerías of nave 3, lower their curtains.

The merchants did not place any advertisements but with the simple fact that the chickens whole or in parts were not on display it was understood.
It was here in the aisle of ship 3 of the R. Leyva where last Monday, June 6, the murders against the chicken suppliers began.
Here around four o’clock in the afternoon of that day, the distributor of this product Tomás Ramírez was walking right in front of the establishment with the social name La Bendición when several armed men killed him with four bullets.

Some owners of the pollerías revealed that Tomás had just three days of having returned to this capital after having moved for almost a year for having received threats.
This Sunday in the aisles of the four warehouses of the market the absence of people to make their purchases was observed.
 
“Since the chicken distributor (Tomás) was killed here, sales have fallen in all establishments,” said one trader.
On Thursday afternoon, June 9, three days after Tomás’ murder, two armed individuals shot dead the worker of a chicken distributor as he left the parking lot of this R. Leyva Mancilla supply center aboard a gray van.
This person who was known as El Calambres, was shot twice and worked in a group of a chicken distributor different from that of Tomás Ramírez.
The merchant of the Leyva Mancilla, said that for three years there had been no acts of violence of this magnitude.
This Saturday, June 11 at half past eight in the morning, several armed individuals entered a chicken farm located in the Vicente Guerrero neighborhood in the community of Petaquillas, shooting dead the distributor of this product Víctor N, his 12-year-old daughter and four of his workers.
In this aggression two other employees were injured who until this Sunday their state of health is serious.
Víctor “N” chicken distributor who was shot dead on the Petaquillas farm is the half-brother of Tomás Ramírez who was killed last Monday, June six in the Leyva Mancilla market.
Derived from all these acts of violence was the reason why it was decided to close the pollerías in the markets Leyva Mancilla, San Francisco, Los Angeles, colony of the PRI, Popular Alliance and a commercial walker located in the center of Chilpancingo.
The chicken establishments in the Chilpancingo markets are stocked by distributors from four farms that are located in the community of Petaquillas.
This group of people receives the product from a large-scale entrepreneur who resides outside of Guerrero.
Those in charge of the four farms are tasked with slaughtering the chickens, peeling them, and then selling them to the established and semi-fixed merchants of this city.

It is the managers of the farms themselves who hire staff to fleece the chickens and for each of them they are paid two and up to 4 pesos.
The number of chickens that are distributed in the establishments is not known. But there is talk of hundreds of them.
The state government, through its Social Communication area, reported on Sunday that due to the acts of violence that have been registered in the municipality of Chilpancingo, security was reinforced.
During the last seven days 9 people have been killed by bullets and six public transport vehicles set on fire by armed men in different parts of Chilpancingo.
On Tuesday, June 7, after the fires of public transport units of which two in the vicinity of the community of Petaquillas, a group of 50 inhabitants of this town led by the municipal commissioner Efrén Moreno Carrera retained nine hours five patrols with 30 elements of the Army, National Guard and State Police.
