Karol Sevilla’s new series “Siempre fue yo” is now available

One of the most anticipated series of the year is now available on Disney+: It was always me. The new production, starring the actress and singer Karol Sevilla (Soy Luna, Disney Channel), the singer Pipe Bueno, and the renowned actor Christian Tappan, The new story landed today with its 10 episodes its episodes on the streaming service with a captivating story that takes place in the Colombian Caribbean and that combines romance, mystery and lots of music. In addition, you can already enjoy the soundtrack of the series, composed of 13 original songs on the main audio and video platforms. Siempre fue yo follows the adventures of Lupe (Seville), a Mexican girl whose life takes an unexpected turn when she learns of the death of her father, El Faraón (Tappan) – Colombia’s top musical star – and decides to leave her native Mexico behind to travel to Cartagena and attend the funeral. Quickly, he realizes that there nothing is as it seems and decides to register for a musical contest to be close to his father’s environment and investigate his suspicious death. Together with Noah (Bueno), a young former assistant to her father, Lupe embarks on a mission full of danger, romance and a lot of music to clarify this mystery in the heart of the Colombian Caribbean.

Meanwhile, the original soundtrack of the new production presents the most diverse genres, including ballads, pop songs and calves, a typical rhythm of the region of Colombia where the story takes place. Several of the cuts are performed by Sevilla and Bueno and have the production of the outstanding producers Mauricio Rengifo (member of the duo Cali and El Dandee) and Andrés Torres. “The Prettiest Song” is part of the series album and the promotional video was recently released. 

Rounding out the series’ talented international cast are José Julián Gaviria (“Felipe”), Simón Savi (“Charly”), Antonio Sanint (“Lucas Martin”), Adriana Romero (“Wendy”), JULIANA (“Angie”), Dubán Prado (“Sammy”), Alejandro Gutiérrez (“Kevin”), Katherine Escobar (“Mercedes”), Eliana Raventós (“Lucía”), Marisol Correa (“Cecilia”) and Felipe Botero (“Ariel”). The series directed by Felipe Cano, has already announced that in July it will begin filming the second season in Colombia.
