“Succession”: announced the start of filming of the fourth season

HBO Max announced the start of production for the fourth season of the drama series “Succesion” in New York City. The first three parts are available to view on the platform. Created by Jesse Armstrong, the series explores themes of power and family dynamics through the eyes of patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four oldest children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Connor (Alan Ruck). In the ten-episode fourth season, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson is getting closer. The prospect of this seismic sale sparks existential anguish and family division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will be like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs a future in which its cultural and political weight is severely reduced.

The first two seasons of the series garnered 23 Emmy nominations, including outstanding drama series, for the second season. The third season, which premiered last October, has led the awards of guilds, such as the WGA, the DGA and the PGA, and the SAG award for best ensemble in a drama series. The cast of the fourth season includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, J. Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin. Created by Jesse Armstrong, it was executive produced by Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell.
