“Queen”, the LGBTIQ+ miniseries that became all the rage: what is it about?

Netflix premiered “Queen”, the miniseries created by Lukasz Kosmicki and Árni Ásgeirsso that soon became a success: so much so that it climbed to the most watched of the platform in just a matter of days. Sylwester, a retired tailor who now works as a drag queen, left Poland 50 years ago to live in Paris. One day he receives a letter in which he is asked to donate a kidney to his sick daughter, whom he has never seen, because he abandoned her when he left his country.

With some reluctance, Sylwester embarks on a journey back to his homeland, to the mining town to which he vowed never to return. But the journey takes an unexpected turn and forces him to face the past and use his artistic talent to mount a theatrical production in order to save the people, who live from the coal mines.” This is a story about redemption, second chances and love, capable of overcoming any difference,” they announce in a press release about the series, which is composed of four episodes.
