Soledad presented “Yo no te pido la luna” with MYA

The Argentine artist Soledad joined for the first time the pop duo MYA, composed of Agustín Bernasconi and Máximo Espíndola, to present a version of “Yo no te pido la luna”, a classic composed by Zucchero and popularized by Daniela Romo.After a meeting emerged in the program “La previa con Bebe”, by the journalist Bebe Contepomi, where the premise is to unite different musical worlds in a studio, the artists decided to record a music video and release it as a single.

On the creative process, Soledad said: “With Nico Cotton, Agus and Maxi from MYA we already knew each other, but it was the first time we met to record something together. We started playing with different ideas until ‘I don’t ask you for the moon’ appeared. It was very interesting to work around the same time as the program. I hope everyone enjoys and dances like we did in this beautiful encounter. For me there is no other way to live music than sharing. I admire the MYA very much and it was a pleasure to sing with them. I don’t ask for the moon I just ask for a moment to listen to it.” For her part, MYA commented on the song: “Making a song with Sole, sharing moments with her in the studio and in the recording of the video was a dream come true. She is a reference and we learned from her humility and professionalism. We loved how the song turned out and the search for style, rhythm and color so that our voices coexist in the best way.” In turn, Soledad announced her next big live performance in Buenos Aires for October 29 and tickets will be on sale soon. For its part, MYA has just received its second nomination for the Gardel Awards for “Best Pop Group Album” for its second album “Suena MYA!”  and recently premiered “TAZA TAZA”.
