denounce contempt for restart of works in Section 5

Citizens dissatisfied with the works on Section 5 of the Mayan Train filed an appeal to denounce that the federal government flouted the judicial suspension that slowed down the work of the megaproject.
On Friday, after the restart of work on Section 5, the organization Defending the Right to a Healthy Environment (DMAS) and residents reported an incident due to a defect in compliance with the suspension.
The protesters went to the Judiciary after the federal government ordered the work to resume. Authorities argue that the work is a matter of national security and maintain that by restarting they do not violate the law.

DMAS told Animal Político that the national security argument does not exempt the Executive Branch from complying with the judicial suspension.
Lawyers consulted on the issue agreed that the suspension must be complied with or else the responsible officials may even be charged with committing a crime.
Those who oppose Section 5 point out that its outline affects areas of caves and cenotes, as well as flora and fauna.

Meanwhile, the federal government denies that there is damage of that level and assures that the opposition to the work obeys political and economic interests.
In the morning, during his daily press conference, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador defended the decision to restart work.
