The contracting processes will be face-to-face after suspension of Compranet

Given the indefinite suspension of the public procurement platform Compranet, the federal government ordered that the ongoing contracting procedures be carried out in person and continue until they are concluded.
As of this Wednesday, the dependencies, entities and public entities users of Compranet, must resume the contracting procedures in progress, in person, according to a document from the Chief Officer’s Office of the Ministry of Finance.

The letter states that the dependencies must publish in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) the bidders or participants in the ongoing contracting procedures, electronic or mixed, that they will continue in person until their conclusion, including those whose calls have been published in Compranet.
“Once the Public Procurement Policy Unit in exercise of its powers communicates the resumption of the operation of the Compranet system, the dependencies and entities must upload the information corresponding to the publication of the call, minutes of the clarification meetings, act of presentation and opening of proposals and failure of the contracting procedure of the Compranet system, contracts and agreements, as well as their relevant data,” he says.
The platform that supports the system where government acquisitions, leases, services and public works are recorded was suspended indefinitely due to “technical failures” registered since July 15.

In a statement, the head of the Public Procurement Policy Unit, Luis Carlos Jaso García, said that “validations have been made to the platform,” but that the failures continue to occur, without explaining the type of irregularities.
