The second release comes after the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Arturo Zaldívar, visited the prison and met with more than 200 inmates with whom he promised to review their cases.
In May 2022, when Zaldívar signed the agreement “For a Justice Close to the People”, he said that fabricated crimes, violations of due process, the failures of public prosecutors, police, prosecutors, judges and judges, is a panorama that reflects the drama of women in prison in Mexico.
In addition, the minister said that there is an abuse of informal pretrial detention and despite this, crime has not decreased.
