Court rules with a gender perspective and finds Martín Pradenas guilty of the crimes of rape and sexual abuse

For the consummated crimes of sexual abuse and rape, the Justice issued a verdict on the investigation against Martín Pradenas Dürr, who has been serving preventive detention in the Valdivia Penitentiary Compliance Center since July 2020.
The Oral Criminal Court (TOP) of Temuco found Pradenas Dürr guilty of the rape of 20-year-old Antonia Barra and the sexual abuse of a minor in November 2010.
According to the reading of the verdict, this Friday, August 26, the sentence against Martín Pradenas will be known.

The magistrate in charge of reading the ruling warned of the need to judge with a gender perspective in cases such as pradenas. It is worth mentioning that on February 14, the first of 37 days of the trial of Martín Pradenas Dürr began, accused of 4 consummated crimes of sexual abuse of people over 14 years of age, a consummated crime of sexual abuse of a child under 14 years of age and 2 crimes of rape of a person over 14 years of age, against six victims, between 2020 and 2019, and for which he risks up to 41 years in prison. A judicial process that has generated great interest on the part of the citizens and that has at least 100 witnesses, and whose guidelines were established in a feasibility hearing, held on May 31.
