Mexico adds 15,738 cases of COVID and 95 deaths

Mexico added another 15,738 cases of COVID-19 and 95 deaths due to this disease on Tuesday, the federal Ministry of Health reported.
In its daily technical report, the agency in charge of Jorge Alcocer indicated that the number of cases accumulated in two years with five months of pandemic stood at 6 million 875 thousand 708.
The number of people killed, meanwhile, stood at 328,437.

The 15,738 cases recorded on Tuesday are fewer compared to 21,363 last Tuesday, another indicator of the downward trend in the current fifth wave of infections.

Unlike weekends or Mondays, when fewer cases are usually counted, Tuesdays are usually seen rebounds due to records that are delayed in previous days.

In two years with five months of pandemic, Mexico has gone through five waves of infections. 
Federal health officials say the current wave has a month of declining trend.
Despite the situation, international organizations and experts urge countries and people not to lower their guard and maintain measures to prevent contagion, such as the use of masks, constant hand washing and ventilation of enclosed spaces.
