Morena meets to remove Alejandro Moreno from commission

Deputies of Morena that make up the Commission of Governance and Population unanimously approved to remove the president of the same, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas (also national leader of the PRI, and appoint the Moreno deputy Julieta Andrea Ramírez Padilla, although it must be endorsed by the Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies.
Morena deputy Mario Rafael Llergo Latournerie requested an “excitative” for the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) to accelerate the removal of Moreno Cárdenas, assuring that 15 legislators have made the request.

“The presence of Moreno Cárdenas at the head of the Commission causes damage to that legislative body, since it raises serious questions about the objectivity, quality and ethics with which he would continue to exercise the position,” said the legislator.

The meeting was convened by the deputies of Morena, Manuel Vázquez Arellano, César Agustín Hernández Pérez, Julieta Andrea Ramírez Padilla, Martha Alicia Arreola Martínez, Karla María Rabelo Estrada, Mario Miguel Carrillo Cubillas, as well as Itzel Alelí Domínguez Zopiyactle (of the Green Party) and Gerardo Fernández Noroña (of the PT).
Session is illegal: Moreno alleges
PRI member Alejandro Moreno alleged that the call “is clearly illegal” affirming the lack of formal communication and that the opinions were not distributed by any means, in addition to being convened by secretaries whose appointments have not been notified.
“The members do not have the information that will be discussed and voted on in the hypothetical meeting called,” he said in a letter addressed to the president of the Political Coordination Board of the Chamber of Deputies, Rubén Moreira.

In addition, he assured that the deputy Itzel Alelí Domínguez Zopiyactle and the deputy Gerardo Fernández Noroña caused automatic withdrawal from the commission, by accumulating four faults during the current semester.
