Tijuana Mayor Asks Criminals to Charge Those Who Owe Them

The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero, of Morena, asked the criminals to act only against “those who did not pay them” or with those who have outstanding “bills”, and not against the civilian population in general.
Caballero said this in a video message broadcast on Facebook, after the acts of violence registered yesterday both in Tijuana and in other municipalities of Baja California. In that city, in Mexicali and Tecate, armed men set up blockades on streets and set fire to vehicles.
“We are not going to allow a single Tijuana citizen to pay the consequences of those who did not pay their bills. Today, we also tell organized crime, who is committing these crimes, that Tijuana is going to remain active taking care of the citizens, and we also ask them to collect the bills from those who did not pay them what they owe, not to the families, not to the citizens who work, because we are also vigilant of it, “he is also vigilant of it. ” Said.

In his message, Caballero also said that 3,000 elements of the National Guard and 2,000 municipal police are ready to take to the streets in case it is necessary to maintain security in the border city.
After the acts of violence on Friday, the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila, also from Morena, issued messages on social networks in which she assured that the authorities are working to restore public order.

Baja Californians and Baja Californians:
We are working from the outset to safeguard peace in our state.
We will apply the full force of our Government so that there is peace and we find those responsible for these attacks.
We will continue to inform you. pic.twitter.com/npy0r9X0Yo
