Next Thursday, at the Alvear Hotel in the City of Buenos Aires, the nineteenth meeting will be held with the presence of governors, diplomats and businessmen from the energy sector. During the event, the role and potential of Argentina in this sector will be analyzed, after the inauguration of the Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline and the exploitation of renewable and non-renewable resources.” Argentina will bring together key government officials, legislators and distinguished leaders, both at home and abroad, to address the economic and political landscape, as well as Latin America’s growth prospects amid the current challenging global context,” the organizers said. Some of the Argentine officials who have already confirmed their presence are the Governor of Salta; Gustavo Sáenz, the Governor of Jujuy; Gerardo Morales, the Governor of Mendoza; Rodolfo Suárez, and the head of the City Government, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.Also present will be the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Jorge Argüello and the United States ambassador to Argentina, Marc Stanley.The Council of the Americas is an organization of North American origin that aims to promote free trade and democracy in Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.
