Smoke from the fires in the Delta reached the AMBA

The smoke caused by the grassland fires on the islands of the Paraná River Delta began to affect visibility in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and the northeast of the Buenos Aires territory, while the National Meteorological Service (SMN) warned that this situation may spread over the weekend if the fires continue. The SMN recommended avoiding outdoor activities, protecting the airways and eyes, driving slowly, keeping your distance and using low beams on vehicles. The meteorological agency reported on Friday through its website that 20 weather stations in different Argentine provinces recorded smoke, burning of weeds or forests in the country. During the morning, the atmosphere of moderate to highly cloudy was observed in the southwest and south of Entre Ríos, northeast of Buenos Aires and slightly cloudy due to the presence of smoke in the west, center and south of Corrientes, north and northeast of Entre Ríos.In the next hours of Saturday the atmosphere is expected to be moderate to highly cloudy in the southwest, South of Entre Ríos, southeast of Santa Fe, and northeast of Buenos Aires.In the context of the fire unleashed in the Paraná, several outbreaks occurred this Friday in the Buenos Aires towns of Zárate (Atucha), Baradero (Gaucho, Gaucho viejo, Baradero), Talabera Irigoyen and Casita Nueva, San Fernando and Otamendi (Campana), while in Continente and Bautismo the fire was still active, but it was “contained”. The national forest brigades and from different jurisdictions together with personnel from the provinces of Entre Ríos and Santa Fe continued to work on the four large heat points detected on islands of the jurisdiction of Entre Ríos, located in front of the towns of San Nicolás, San Pedro, in the province of Buenos Aires.
