Gas tank explosion in Cortazar, left two dead

Cortazar, Guanajuato.- Last Saturday in Cortazar, Guanajuato, there was the explosion of a gas tank inside a home, which so far left two dead and several seriously injured among them minors, the death of the two people, confirmed by the Attorney General’s Office of Guanajuato.  Last Saturday afternoon, the 911 Emergency System received the report of a strong explosion in a grocery store and several injured people on Punta Arenas Street, in the Punta Real subdivision. At first it was confirmed that the first fatal victim of the accident died in intensive care in the hospital, recently it was mentioned that another victim died, in life the two people responded to the names: Lucio “N”, 52 years old who died in the hospital and Rubí Vannesa “N”, also died when she was treated at the Mexican Institute of Social Security.  Of the injured are four adults identified as: María Soledad “N”, 73 years old, being her state of serious health; Patricia “N”, 48 years old, her stable state of health; Angelica “N” of 24 years and Francisco Javier “N”, of 42 years, with their serious state of health. Of the unfortunate fact, several minors were reported seriously injured, who are already recovering in the hospital. The children affected are: a child under the age of eight; one under one year and eight months; another of five years, three more men under five, 12 years the latter was transferred to the General Hospital of Critical Care and finally a minor of 11 years with a stable state of health. Emergency and rescue bodies were mobilized to the site, several seriously injured people were located, who were transferred to different hospitals; eight at the Community Hospital and two at the Mexican Social Security Institute. The explosion was so strong that it caused the windows of several homes and apartments to break, when authorities received the report.
