Located in Los Reyes Park, Los Silos Climbing Park is an infrastructure for public use, focused on the development of sports in the mountains, which was built through the spatial and programmatic transformation of an old cement factory, abandoned more than 70 years ago, which became a first-class sports climbing gym, for public use and free of charge.
Fusing disciplines such as architecture, art and sport, this park seeks to generate a new urban landmark that promotes awareness for urban recycling, sport, healthy living and care for the environment.
It has 20 sports climbing routes of 20 meters high and a Boulder of 150 square meters.
The delivery of the loan will allow to continue improving the infrastructure of the climbing park and increase collaboration with the communities near the place, such as schools, colleges and the Neighborhood Board between General Bulnes, Yungay and Matucana streets.
