RM Presidential Delegation confirmed complaint for acts of violence registered in the Alameda

After the clashes recorded on Sunday in the Alameda, where one person was injured and another detained, the Presidential Delegation of the Metropolitan Region reported that it will file a complaint for the acts of violence.
This was communicated by the delegate Constanza Martínez, who said that “as a Presidential Delegation we present a complaint before the serious disorders that concluded with people run over by a cart in the call for cyclists by the Apruebo”.
“It is condemnable and unacceptable. Under no circumstances will we tolerate that level of violence,” he said.
The event in question was viralized by social networks, where you can see a cart running over at high speed a group of cyclists who were participating in an activity for the Apruebo.
According to Emol, Lieutenant Colonel Gerardo Aravena indicated that it all began when a person who participated in the activity “For the traditions of the Chilean countryside” was moving through the Alameda in the direction of the east and when he arrived at Portugal Street he met approximately 300 cyclists, “who did it in the direction of the west.”
After that, they began “a series of aggressions between the members of both marches, and in these circumstances, for reasons that are investigated, a cart runs over cyclists who were in the place.”
The situation left “one person injured in the former Posta Central” who “is being treated.”

It was possible to “establish the identity of the person who drove the cart, who was later arrested, transferred to the premises of the 1st Police Station, and then made available to the courts of justice,” he said.
