The international press highlighted on Sunday that Chile votes divided in the constitutional plebiscite of September 4.
Spain’s El País newspaper said the referendum would be resolved by a narrow margin. “Within hours of choosing between approving or rejecting the proposal for a new Constitution, the country oscillates between anger and hope,” the media said.
Meanwhile, BBC Mundo outlined on its cover the “six major changes” proposed by the new Constitution, and that “the government will seek to make modifications even if it is approved.” He also mentioned the factors that explain the political and social division caused by the proposal.
