Mendoza: A 13-year-old student brought a gun to school and caused panic

A 13-year-old student took a gun to the school and alerted the authorities of the province of Mendoza, where the alarming incident occurred last Wednesday morning. The Mendoza Police approached the establishment and, after kidnapping the weapon, interviewed the minor who had it in his possession and called his mother to report to school. The boy acknowledged that it had been given to him by friends in his neighborhood. Despite the panic, the local media Mendoza Post cited sources from the General Directorate of Schools of the province, who assured that the gun did not have the magazine on and had even placed insulating tape on the part of the stock, so the weapon was not suitable for firing. In addition to this fact, on June 28, a 16-year-old teenager who is in his fifth year at a school in the Buenos Aires town of Florencio Varela, took a gun to school and simulated the shooting of his classmates, who uploaded photos and videos to social networks.
