Rogelio Hernández resigns from the presidency of the CNH

The president of the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH), Rogelio Hernández Cázares, submitted his resignation on August 31.
So far, the reasons have not been disclosed; however, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has already sent the shortlist of candidates to occupy the position.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the shortlist is made up of Agustín Díaz Lastra, Romeo Antonio Rojas Figueroa and José Sánchez Pérez.

“The proposed persons meet the requirements set forth in Article 8 of the Law on Coordinated Regulatory Bodies in energy matters, which can be corroborated with the documentation that accompanies this statement,” the document states.
Rogelio Hernández was appointed by the Senate of the Republic on November 7, 2019 to replace Juan Carlos Zepeda, who in turn submitted his resignation on November 30, 2018.
The CNH is responsible for supervising the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons, the bidding of contracts and the administration of oil allocations.
