How to apply for the Benito Juárez scholarship? Steps and dates to follow

To apply for one of the Benito Juárez scholarships at any level, the government will request an Online Incorporation Application Card (CSI), a digital tool to know if you are a candidate to receive support. 
According to the federal authorities, this procedure will allow you to know, in real time, if you can participate in the selection process, either for scholarships for basic, upper secondary and higher education.  
From September 12, and until October 7, the schools of upper secondary education will share the list of information of their enrolled students. For those who have not been reported by their schools, the card will be delivered after October 7. 

However, you have until September 15 to process your application, through the following steps.

Locate your school in the program
The first step you should do is to check if your school is within the priority attention level, to confirm it you must enter the federal government school search engine and track the campus using the Work Center Key (CCT) or geographical location on the map. 

If your school is within a priority location, any of its students can access the Benito Juárez scholarships. 
For the basic level, if government personnel recently came to your school and applied the procedure in person, it will no longer be necessary to do it online. 
According to the federal government, the Benito Juárez scholarship for basic education is awarded per family, “regardless of the number of children or adolescents who make it up.”

At the upper secondary level, if you study in a public school, it is not necessary to register your application for incorporation, because your campus shares the information directly. 
However, the authorities recommend that you go to your school to verify that you have been reported as an enrolled person.
Meanwhile, for higher level you must register your application for the scholarship through the Single System of Beneficiaries of Higher Education (SUBES) or continue with the registration of the Online Incorporation Application Card.
In case your campus is “susceptible to attention”, the opportunity to obtain a scholarship will depend on your socioeconomic conditions, the prioritization criteria, the availability of budget and the spaces available in the list of beneficiaries, however you can finish the registration of the card to be contemplated in the process.
In case your school is not susceptible, it means that, for the time being, you will not be able to be a scholarship candidate. However, the authorities recommend that if you change schools, you enter the school search engine again.
You must take into account that to complete your application card you must have at hand school data, CURP, proof of address, telephone number and email.
The authorities recommend filling in all information fields with capital letters and without accents, as well as checking that the data is correct in all fields-
Once you finish registering your information, you can download your acknowledgment as well as an application form, to see where your application is in the process.

In case you meet the requirements, you must fill out a Unique Cédula (also online) where you will provide socioeconomic data.
“️The completion of the Online Incorporation Application Card and the Single Certificate does NOT mean that you or your family will receive the scholarship, since its incorporation depends on it being confirmed that they meet the requirements established in the current Operating Rules, the assigned budget and the spaces available in the list of beneficiaries”, explains the federal government.
