Luis Ventura gave an interview inside a coffin: “My family called me to me”

Luis Ventura was a guest at the LAM series of shows, there under the leadership of Pia Shaw he talked about the health of his son, Antonio and his assembled family. However, after seeing shocking images of the journalist asleep inside a coffin, the panelists did not hesitate to ask him what led him to carry out that action. There with total calm, the journalist recounted the facts and assured that he is not afraid of death: “I want to dedramatize what the situation is. Death does not move a hair for me, unless it is someone I love because it is a game that one feels. But I’m not afraid of death; death is within life. I lie down to sleep with the ashes of my father and mother, and all the dogs I had, in the bedroom,” he began by explaining. Then she explained: “Silvia Freire was my partner in American Breakfast and I thought she was a guy who knew about psychology and psychiatry. He said ‘look, I’m going to start a show on the cable, where I interview someone, do you dare to come?’ It was complicated for me, but I knew how to wait and I went,” he started by way of introduction to the subject. He continued: “I didn’t ask the context of the note. The note was normal, sentimental, affective, life… I thought that was the note. But at one point he tells me to take a break. While we were having a tea, he stopped and took out a tablecloth that covered the coffin. It was closed, opens the lid and looks like a back of an armchair. And in his questionnaire there is a question about death,” he continued. “We started talking about death and he asked me if I would dare to lie in the coffin. I didn’t let the lid be closed. He asked me how I felt, my view of life, death… Nothing else. My family called me to me,” he concluded laughing, before the stunned gaze of the little angels who reproached the driver’s attitude.
