Municipal police arrested who allegedly shot actor Octavio Ocaña

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) reported the arrest of Leopoldo “N” of 45 years and who served as Municipal Police of Cuautitlán Izcalli and who allegedly shot the actor Octavio Ocaña.
Through a statement, the Prosecutor’s Office reported that the arrest was carried out in a joint action between agents of the agency and the National Anti-Homicide Coordination (CONAHO).
“On October 19, 2021, the young man lost his life because of a gunshot while traveling through Cuautitlán Izcalli, so the municipal police leopoldo ‘N’ was charged with trial for his alleged participation, since apparently he would be the one who would have shot at the vehicle,” the document says.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the arrest of the policeman allegedly involved in the death of actor Octavio Ocaña, occurred in an operation on the Querétaro-Mexico highway, Cuamatla Industrial neighborhood, in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli.

The authorities stress that the detainee should be considered innocent until a conviction is handed down against him.
“It is worth mentioning that with respect to Gerardo “N”, he is still pending to complete the judicial order that works against him for these facts,” the statement said.

In November, the Prosecutor’s Office had concluded that Octavio Ocaña, the 22-year-old actor, shot himself as a result of the impact of the vehicle he was driving, allegedly fleeing from the police of Cuautitlán Izcalli.
After this opinion, the body announced that it will hold meetings to analyze the evidence of his death.
In an interview with Reforma, the actor’s father, Octavio Pérez, said he would file a lawsuit against the Edomex Prosecutor’s Office, for irregularities in the investigation of his son’s death.
Before the same media, the father said that there was negligence on the part of the authorities to give first aid to Ocaña and that his companions were tortured to sign the statements published by the Prosecutor’s Office.
