Nurse Nancy Hernandez Fuentes, who was reported missing in Mexico City since Sept. 17, was found dead in San Miguel Tequixtepe, in the Mixtec region of Oaxaca, the state prosecutor’s office confirmed.
Nancy would travel to Guerrero and the last time she was heard from was at the end of Taxqueña, in Mexico City.

On September 22, after recognizing her and carrying out the corresponding legal procedures, the body of the 35-year-old woman was handed over to her relatives, the prosecutor’s office said.
The agency initiated the investigation folder 32275/FMIX/NOCHIXLTLAN/2022, for the crime of femicide.
The Union of Workers of the ISSSTE Section XXXIX from where she was a member, as a nurse of the emergency department of the Regional Hospital “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos” of Mexico City, sent condolences to the relatives.
From January to August, 28 investigation folders have been opened in Oaxaca for the crime of femicide, according to the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System.
