The National Institute of Migration, at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) issued an immigration alert against the former governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca.
Through a statement, Migration reported that the former governor could be involved in criminal acts.
“The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) requested the intervention of the INM for the implementation of this measure, as there is an arrest warrant against him issued by a district judge for his probable intervention in criminal acts of organized crime,” the statement said.
According to the authorities, the purpose of the alert is to inform about the movements of entry and exit of García Cabeza de Vaca.
Since 2021, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca has been accused of money laundering, criminal association and tax fraud.
The former governor is implicated in possible money laundering operations for more than 100 million pesos, with resources that would come, allegedly, from acts of corruption.
