The new adaptation of Stephen King’s bestseller, “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” is now available from This Wednesday, to watch on the Netflix platform. The premiere, which comes in the month of fear.
This film is directed by John Lee Hancock (“Hunger for Power”, “Little Secrets”) and the main performances of Donald Sutherland (“Pride and Prejudice”, “The Hunger Games”) and Jaeden Martell, who played Bill Denbrough in the remake of “It” (another of the great works of the author and preparing his prequel series), of the Argentine duo formed by director Andy Muschietti and producer Bárbara Muschietti.
The story is inspired by the novel Blood Rules and according to its synopsis follows “a child and an old millionaire have in common their love for books and their first iPhones. But, although death seems to separate them, their mysterious connection is kept alive.”
With a cast that completes the performances of Joe Tippett (“Mare of Easttown”), Cyrus Arnold (“Zoolander 2”) and Kirby Howell-Baptiste (“The Sandman”), “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” adds to the catalog of films (such as “Gerald’s Game”, “1922”, “In the Tall Grass”, among others) based on the writer’s books that are in the catalog.
