“Poems, wars and loves have been born facing the Moon. His admiration transcends all of human history and has been a beacon for great travels. This course will also be a journey… a trip to the Moon,” says José Maza, astronomer at the University of Chile and winner of the 2009 National Prize for Exact Sciences.
“We will address the Apollo project, the large craters and without a doubt the great NASA project “Artemis” that will seek to take -this time- women and men to step on the natural satellite of the Earth,” says the researcher of the Center of Excellence in Astrophysics CATA.
 
Course syllabus
Class 1: The Moon, our companion (Friday, October 28 at 8:00 p.m.)
Class 2: Trips to the Moon: Project Apollo (Wednesday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m.)
Class 3: The origin of the Moon (Wednesday, November 9 at 8:00 p.m.)
Class 4: The Artemis project (Wednesday, November 16 at 8:00 p.m.)

The lecturer of the course is José Maza, astronomer of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, National Prize of Exact Sciences 1999 and researcher of the Center of Excellence in Astrophysics and Related Technologies CATA.
