CCH Sur student raped inside school

A student of the College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH) South of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) was raped inside the campus facilities on October 17, denounced students and feminist groups.
According to the collective Independent Organized Feminists of CCH Sur, the events occurred around 4 in the afternoon, when the student left the classroom to go to the toilet, where she was attacked.
After the events, the young woman went to her classroom and asked for help in the school affairs offices, called a relative and “they channeled her with the legal lawyer.”

In a statement, the CCH Sur admitted that “an unfortunate event occurred” in its facilities, which affected the integrity of a student and explained that both the management, the lawyer and part of the governing body attended her since they knew the situation and has provided it, advice and accompaniment.

This Friday there will be a student assembly in which the violations on campus and the actions of the authorities will be addressed.

Other complaints  
This is not the first sexual assault to occur on the platel.
On August 30, a student suffered an attempted rape inside the school premises, but organizations reported that the legal department of the institution asked the young woman not to talk about what happened.
In October 2019, another student reported that she was raped when she was inside the school with four classmates, who offered her a dessert and after ingesting it she lost consciousness.
Upon waking, the victim was naked and with symptoms of having been sexually assaulted.
Given this, the minor went to the gynecologist who performed a series of analyzes and confirmed that she had been raped. The victim, accompanied by her mother, filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
