José Manuel Urcera and a great result in Italy

The Argentine José Manuel Urcera and his teammate Daniele Di Amato, with Ferrari, culminated today in the sixth position in the first race of the weekend of the Italian GT, which for the last date of the championship of the specialty will be held tomorrow at the Mugello racetrack.Di Amato made a spin in the first turn of today’s race but then managed to recover several positions to get back into the top 10 and add some points to continue with chances of fighting for the title tomorrow. But after that bad game he began to overcome cars, since the vast majority of the park is made up of slower machines, at the close of the second turn he was 24th. and in the third round he was already 18th. In the next, an incident led to the entry of the safety car, allowing Di Amato to return to zero the differences with the rest until he was ninth and leave the place to Urcera for the second 25 minutes of the race. With good pace the rionegrino managed to advance and could jump to tenth place, being eighth once the rest fulfilled the pass through the pits. From there he tried to reduce the difference of more than 50 seconds with respect to the top until a second safety car allowed him to get closer to be more aggressive in the final stretch of the race. With 7 minutes 15 seconds to go, Urcera placed seventh to gain sixth position on the main straight before crossing the finish line. The victory was in the hands of Stuart Middleton and Alberto Di Folco (Lamborghini), accompanied by Klingmann and Glock (BMW 4) in second place, while leaders Moncini and Guidetti (Honda NSX) were third. With this sixth place, the Italian-Argentine duo accumulates 69 units, being 12 of Guidetti-Moncini, second are now Glock-Klingmann with 78 and third Middleton-Di Folco with 75.La second race, which will define the championship, will start tomorrow at 7:50 (Argentine time) and the Urcera-Di Amato binomial will start from the second place, needing to finish at least on the podium and not add points those who are ahead in the championship.
