According to the Secretariat, the 51-year-old detainee is allegedly linked to the incident that occurred on November 1, on the Ermita Iztapalapa road, Colonia Constitución de 1917, where police were alerted about an injured person, who according to witnesses jumped from a moving taxi, which fled the place.
He added that the place secured a taxi-type vehicle, owned by one of the detainees, and coincides with the facts of the investigation folder of the young Lidia.

In a statement, the agency explained that the apprehension of both men was after attending a citizen complaint where it was reported that they handled apparent drugs on board a vehicle. The men were found 20 bags of marijuana.
Those involved were presented to the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office, who will determine their legal status.

Death of Lidia Gabriela
Lidia Gabriela, a young woman from Mexico City, died after jumping out of a taxi because the driver did not want to get her where she told him to.
Diego Maldonado, who identified himself on social networks as the young woman’s brother, said that Lidia took a taxi on November 1 in the Las Peñas neighborhood, in Iztapalapa; However, when she requested to get off, the driver started and went in the high-speed lane, which caused her to decide to jump in.
“The taxi didn’t want to take her down; It started very hard in the high lane so my sister had to jump out of the taxi in full motion crashing her head on the pavement and dying almost instantly. She passed by the Oxxo that was in Metro Constitución and asked people for help, many people heard her asking for help, but unfortunately nobody could do anything,” Lidia’s brother wrote on a Facebook page.
The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office reported that it opened an investigation folder under the femicide protocol.
“The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) investigates the death of a young woman, who apparently traveled aboard a rental car on Calzada Ermita Iztapalapa, from which it is inferred that she probably threw herself while moving.”
