The Minister of Health of Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak, said that it is necessary to reform the health system to achieve “greater equity.” At the same time, he remarked that “there is an intention from all sectors” to work on it. In a dialogue with AM 750, the official of Axel Kicillof’s team said that “there is an intention to work together for the reform of the health system,” referring to the ninth meeting of health professionals that was held in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos.
In this way, Kreplak said that at the meeting there were 6,000 workers from all over the country to exchange opinions on the reform of the system. In that sense, he explained: “We debate how we can do it, we exchange experiences, we talk about more macro things, bills that must be carried out, otherwise we would fail in our function of trying to achieve equity in the health system.” In turn, the Buenos Aires minister explained: “The Argentine health system has a decades-long evolution in which it has been fragmented. Today we do not have a single health system, there are several, it depends on where you live, what kind of coverage you have, how much money. The ages have different accesses to the health system and what has happened is that when there are not very clear rules of organized systems, what has been happening with these multiple systems is that there is inequity.”
