Only two recent cases of monkeypox detected

The Ministry of Health reported a decrease in the curve of monkeypox infections, going from 162 to only two confirmed cases, in a week.
According to the weekly technical report of the agency, it also went from 263 suspected cases to 40 probable infections.
Since the registration of the first case and until November 14, health authorities have identified 3,145 people with the virus, and four deaths confirmed last week.

“The Institute of Epidemiological Diagnosis and Reference (InDRE) reported that positive cases are distributed in 32 states: Mexico City, one thousand 833 infections; Jalisco, 355; State of Mexico, 320; Yucatan, 111; Quintana Roo, 111; Tabasco, 44; Puebla, 45; Nuevo Leon, 34; Chiapas, 32; Baja California, 25; Veracruz, 27; Queretaro, 23; Morelos, 21; Guanajuato, 17; and Sinaloa, 17. In addition, Hidalgo, 16; Chihuahua, 15; Coahuila, 12; Tamaulipas, 11; Nayarit, 10; Aguascalientes, nine; Guerrero, nine; Oaxaca, eight; Campeche, seven; Michoacán, seven; Tlaxcala, seven; San Luis Potosi, five; Sonora, five; Colima, four; Zacatecas, three; Baja California Sur, one and Durango, one,” the Ministry of Health reported.
Authorities recalled that the most common symptoms reported are reddish skin rashes; fever; headaches, muscle and joint pains; swollen lymph nodes; weakness or general fatigue that makes it difficult or impossible to perform tasks that under normal conditions you perform easily and chills.
“The comorbidity that most occurs is the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), in one thousand 845 of the confirmed cases of monkeypox; that is, 58.7%,” he reported.
