The minimum wage will increase 20% until March in four tranches

After the meeting of the Salary Council, the CGT, CTA and the business chambers agreed on an increase in the minimum, vital and mobile of 20% in four tranches, which will be paid: 7% in December, 6 in January, 4 in February and another 3% in March 2023. The new increase in the minimum, vital and mobile for the parity year, between March of this year and the same month of 2023, totaled 110.5 percent, “said Labor Minister Raquel Kelly Olmos. In this way, that credit will be allowed to reach 69,500 pesos by March. Unions of the CGT, CTA and CTA Autonomous and leaders of the business chambers negotiated today from 4:30 p.m. in a virtual plenary session of the Salary Council a new update of the minimum, vital and mobile wages, as well as unemployment benefits, before the process of rising prices.

The vote was rejected by the CTAA led by Hugo “Cachorro” Godoy, who ratified his historical positions in this regard at the meeting. For their part, the CGT, CTA and the business chambers agreed to increase 20% in three tranches, similar to what happened at the last meeting of the Minimum Wage Council, on August 22, when the parties agreed on a 21% improvement in three 7% tranches from September to November, raising the minimum amount to 57,900 this month. On the union side, the following were present: Héctor Daer (CGT), Carlos Acuña (service stations), Pablo Moyano (Teamsters), Andrés Rodríguez (UPCN), Gerardo Martínez (Construction), Sergio Romero (Teachers), José Luis Lingeri (Sanitary Works), Roberto Fernández (UTA), Hugo “Cachorro” Godoy (ATE) and Hugo Yasky (CTA). Meanwhile, from the business sector were part of the meeting: Daniel Funes de Rioja (Argentine Industrial Union), Juan José Etala (labor lawyer), Julio Cordero (Techint), Guillermo Moretti (UIA), Carlos Achetoni (FAA), Nicolás Pino (Rural Society), Javier Bolzico (Adeba) and Adelmo Gabbi (Stock Exchange), among others.
