Ken Omar “N”, a young man who ran over a tamale vendor, was released by the authorities of the State of Mexico because the crime charged does not merit unofficial preventive detention.
Through a statement, the Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico reported that after reviewing the video recording of the moment in which the events occurred, as well as the taking of his statement, it was determined that the crime is culpable homicide.
“After expiring the constitutional term of 48 hours and since the criminal act for which he is investigated is a culpable commission, and does not merit unofficial preventive detention, according to the provisions of the National Code of Criminal Procedures, this individual was released under the reservations of law,” the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
