Disappearances denounced due to detention of Ovidio Guzmán

Residents of Jesús María, the community where Ovidio Guzmán López, an alleged member of the Sinaloa cartel, was captured, have denounced the disappearance of at least 140 people after the operation to capture the drug trafficker.
According to Noroeste, this number of missing persons is an unofficial approximate that has been determined by neighbors of the syndicate.
According to his version, the missing people range from 12 to 35 years of age, and within the group there are women and men.

Due to these disappearances, this morning, the residents of Jesús María went to the Municipal Palace of Culiacán to demand that Governor Rubén Rocha Moya take immediate action to remove the Mexican Army from the community.
The group arrived with signs and shouts of demonstration, but then demanded to speak with the governor, who was about to finish his press conference.
The first reports detail that the residents demanded to enter and push and even broken windows have been reported in the place.

So far, the authorities have not commented on the disappearances or protests at the Municipal Palace.
Recapture of Ovidio Guzmán
Authorities recaptured Ovidio Guzmán, alleged drug trafficker of the Sinaloa Cartel and son of Joaquín el “Chapo Guzmán”, which caused a day of shootings and blockades in Culiacán.
The capture was made during an operation around 6:20 in the morning of this January 5, in the syndicate of Jesús María, within Culiacán.
The actions provoked strong clashes and blockades in several parts of the municipality that even affected transport services, roads, among others.
