President Boric points out that “it is important that Venezuela returns to multilateral organizations” after Maduro’s absence at Celac Summit

After 9:00 p.m., the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, arrived in Argentina to participate in the VII CELAC Summit. After his arrival in the trans-Andean country, the President addressed the absence of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who left the instance for “plans of aggression” against him.
Given this, the head of state pointed out that “I hope about this, that the crisis that has lasted so long in Venezuela, we have to resolve it with the government of Venezuela at the table. And therefore, it is important that Venezuela as a country and its institutions return to multilateral organizations.”

On the other hand, the President added that “I can not pronounce on the specific, judicial situation of President Maduro, that will correspond to the courts or those who have made the complaints. We have always been clear on one thing, in condemning human rights violations regardless of the political color of who commits them.”
It should be remembered that Maduro will not attend the CELAC Summit before a “plan of aggressions” against his delegation, reported Monday the Government of the Caribbean country that points to the “extremist right” for these plans.
“In the last hours we have been irrefutably informed of a plan developed within the neo-fascist right, whose objective is to carry out a series of aggressions against our delegation headed by the president,” says a statement from the Executive.
