The CERC-MORI Political Barometer survey found that 26% of respondents identify themselves as right-wing, a figure that has not been recorded since 2001. Meanwhile, people who were located on the left reached 16%.
The highest number of people identified as right-wing occurred precisely in April 2001, with 26%. The minimum, meanwhile, was registered in 2016, with 10%.
On the other hand, the maximum percentage of those identified as left happened in 1994, 1995, 2011 and 2015, with 30%. The minimum was recorded in 1987, 2016 and 2019, with 13%.
In turn, those identified with the political center reached 34% in this version of the survey. Its maximum was recorded in April 1988, with 52%, and its minimum in December 2012, with 26%.
To recognize the political tendency of citizenship, Politics Barometer asked respondents in which number they position themselves on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the left and 10 is the right.
The survey included a sample of a thousand cases. It was applied through an online panel, between January 25 and February 26, 2023.
Government approval
Regarding the approval of the Government, this reached 25%. Disapproval reached 61% and 14% do not know or do not respond.
