5 questions to La Valenti for the presentation of his album in Niceto

“R CHOP”, La Valenti’s debut album, already has its official presentation date. It will be on May 4 at Niceto Club and together with a colleague: the Spanish Paula Cendejas.De face this important date in her career, we send 5 questions to Valentina Soria to learn more about this artistic project.1. During 2022 you performed at important venues and festivals, how would you define that year on a professional level?
Undoubtedly, 2022 was a year of great growth, we started the year going with a very large team to record our first album in the mountains of Córdoba, with the intention of then going out to play it live. And I think that all that musical and human group work was reflected in the experiences we were living throughout the year. There were great shows and proposals that required to be sharp, and we felt very confident, always wanting to continue progressing and that is very valuable when working. The La Valenti project was greatly strengthened at the musical level and at the collective level, the foundations became stronger. Today the structure is bigger thanks to all that work.2. In November you released your new album R-CHOP, how do you feel the feedback from the public has been?
Launching R CHOP was a before and after. On a personal and human level it was like taking away a very big emotional burden that I had been gestating for years and that was also closely linked to my entire process of illness and healing. When I released it to the world I felt that it was necessary for many people (I always say that it is an album that I would have liked to listen to during my chemo process, because it would have given me a lot of strength, in fact I created it from that place too) but mainly I felt that it was necessary for me, for my evolution, to realize that how strong I had been, He could see himself reflected at last in a work. From the moment 0 that the feedback of the people felt very organic but more than anything DEEP, I got messages like a lot of inquiry, a lot of search and that excites me. I really feel that it is a heavy work, but it goes through.3. How did this date come about together with Paula Cendejas?
The date was an idea of the team we have been working with. Since last year we have been thinking about the official presentation of ‘R CHOP’, and for various situations it was postponed. The premise is that it is a work that deserved its time to be presented live.
It just so happened that Paula was planning her Latin American tour and that our managers were in touch and we all thought it was a great idea to unite both album presentations (Paula is presenting her new album “FOMO”) and enhance all our feminine energy in a night of great power.4. What can the audience expect from the show in Niceto?
I think the audience already knows our searches and our flashes, but what they will feel in this particular show, I do not think they have ever felt in a show of La Valenti. It will be an unpretentious setting, but each action and each element will have its reason, like those plays that cross every last fiber of your body, with only a set chair.
I plan to play a lot with the intensities, with the moments, the silences, the costumes (of course) and more than anything we will put a lot of emphasis on the musical part. We’re betting a lot on that. New sounds, new songs and most importantly, the live performance of this work that is ‘R CHOP’.
5. What comes next?
For the rest of the year, I feel that the big bet of this project is to continue releasing songs (possibly every month), play a little with music, dive into the search and that innocent, primal and fun game … I have the desire to start getting into music production little by little, to get more and more involved in those processes, and that it is one more tool to go out to life.
On the other hand, going out to present ‘R CHOP’ for various scenarios is also one of the purposes of this year, that the work reaches more and more people.
