This Sunday will take place the final of “Red Bull Mind The Gap”

This Sunday, April 30, the national final of the “Red Bull Mind The Gap” will be held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a street skate competition that consists of doing a great trick by jumping over a gap. The event, which will distribute one million pesos in prizes, will not only have the participation of the best skaters in the country, but will also stand out for the presence of great athletes such as Marcelo Jiménez (best Chilean skater) and Emiliano Dufour (best Uruguayan skater). In total, there will be 20 men and 6 women who will be divided into different categories.
One of the main attractions of the local competition will be the participation of Red Bull athlete Aldana Bertran, the best Latin American skateboarder, who holds the title of the first Mind the Gap held in Argentina in 2021. In addition, Bertran is less than 10 positions in the ranking of qualifiers for the next Olympic Games.Prior to the National Final, the “Red Bull Mind The Gap” had three qualifying instances in different provinces of the country. The first one took place in March in Córdoba, the second was in mid-April in Buenos Aires and the last one was developed digitally. Each of them had a specialized jury that chose the winner of each phase.
For the National Final, in addition to the regional winners, outstanding skate athletes from both nationally and internationally, who were previously chosen by the juries, join the competition. Among them, there are two young promises of sport with international projection: Felipe Daré (16 years old) and Gael Dobar (17 years old). It should be noted that the definition will start from 13.00 with free admission. In case of rain, the event will be postponed.
