Morelia, Mich. – Local deputy Adriana Hernández Íñiguez delivered an official letter to the presidency of the State Congress requesting that the minute sent by the Congress of the Union for Law 3 of 3 Against Violence to enter into force in Michoacán, be listed as a priority in the next session, they reported through a statement.
“This will guarantee that neither food debtors nor people who have exercised gender-based violence hold public office, it will also serve to dignify the political class and the public function in Mexico,” said the deputy from the Legislative Palace.
And he affirmed that he hopes that all the political forces represented in the Congress of Michoacán approve the Reform unanimously, thus adding to the speed that it requires; “We must live up to the demand of the national emergency, which violence against women and children occupies, as well as in recognition of the work of civil society organizations and their contribution to the democratic life of our country.”

The legislator was accompanied by Oti Molina, representative of Todas Mx in Michoacán, a feminist organization that promoted Law 3 of 3.
It should be noted that the Act amends articles 38 and 102 of the Constitution with regard to the suspension of rights to hold any office.
