Fanny Arreola achieves that requirements and procedures are established to designate holders of the Drinking Water Operating Organizations.

Morelia, Mich. – In order to generate better conditions and more efficiency in the Drinking Water Operating Agencies, the State Congress approved several reforms to the Municipal Organic Law, at the proposal of Deputy Fanny Lyssette Arreola Pichardo, to establish the process and requirements for selecting holders of the Drinking Water Operating Agencies, according to a statement.
One of the main modifications proposed by the local legislator was to make the regulations transparent, in order to establish the procedure and requirements for the appointment of the Commissioner of Drinking Water Operating Organizations, since currently only the obligation of the City Council to appoint a Commissioner for the Municipal Water Operator Agency was foreseen.
The deputy for the local district of Apatzingán, said that this proposal arose with the intention of strengthening and making efficient the services of drinking water, drainage, sewerage, treatment and disposal of wastewater within the municipalities, and thereby provide the service in a sufficient, healthy, acceptable and affordable way to the population.
“With these reforms, which will enter into force as soon as the new municipal administrations begin work, we seek greater capacity in those who are in charge of these agencies, that there is better work and of course that citizens have the services without any problem,” he added.
