“December 2001”: the series that will tell the deepest economic crisis in the country, premiered its trailer

“December 2001”, the series that will deal with the evolution of the days that led to one of the most chaotic and deep crises in the country, revealed its first trailer that advances its premiere on the Star + platform. Composed of six episodes of 40 minutes, the production has the protagonist of a cast of figures such as Luis Machín (in charge of the Minister of Economy, Domingo Cavallo), Jean Pierre Noher (as Fernando de la Rúa), Luis Luque (as Chrystian Colombo), Nicolás Furtado (Franco Musciari), César Troncoso (Eduardo Duhalde), Fernán Mirás (Carlos “Chacho” Álvarez), Jorge Suárez (Adolfo Rodríguez Saa), Manuel Callau (Raúl Alfonsín), Cecilia Rossetto (Inés Bruno), Manuel Vicente (Ramón Puerta), Alejandra Flechner (Hilda “Chiche” Duhalde), Vando Villamil (Carlos Ruckauf), Ludovico Di Santo (Antonio de la Rúa) and Sergio Prina (Héctor “El Toba” García). The series will take historical facts, while adapting the book The palace and the street, by journalist Miguel Bonasso, who compiled the days that marked the critical period. That is, it will be a fictionalization of the real events that will follow Javier Cach, a fictitious political militant played by Diego Cremonesi as the protagonist who will cross the political, economic and social fabric. Cach occupies a position as an advisor to the Chief of Cabinet, “in a government of erratic walking in the hands of the Alliance,” begins advancing the synopsis shared with this media. “Throughout history, Cach’s convictions and desires must give way to the permanent troubles to which the practice of government exposes him, and face one of the worst economic, political and social crises that the country has seen in its history, with the resignation of a president in advance, the death of dozens of Argentines by police repression, a society from which their savings were taken away and the historical exceptionality of five presidents in one week,” he details. Directed by Benjamín Ávila, recognized for his work in “Infancia clandestina” (2011) and “Encerrados” (2018), “Diciembre 2001” premieres on Star+ on June 7. A National Geographic and Kapow production.
