Michoacans deserve a trusted top auditor: GPPT

The accusations against Miguel Angel Aguirre Abellaneda are serious and must be clarified, say the PT deputies.
Morelia, Michoacán. – After the serious accusations that weigh on Miguel Ángel Aguirre Abellaneda, Superior Auditor of Michoacán, it is necessary and urgent to remove him from office and to clarify each and every one of the accusations made against him, as indicated by the members of the Parliamentary Group of the Labor Party (GPPT) in the Congress of Michoacán, according to a statement.
On behalf of the caucus, the parliamentary coordinator, Reyes Galindo Pedraza, stressed that one of the axes of the 4T is the fight against corruption and transparency, “in the PT we are committed not to fail the people, so the Michoacans deserve a reliable auditor, without a history of corruption; but above all, that he monitors the use and destination of resources and not that he benefits from his position.
“What the Secretariat of the Comptroller’s Office in Michoacán uncovered is serious. It is not possible that whoever is in charge of reviewing where the resources of the Michoacans go has 66 open procedures for alleged irregularities; this makes him an unreliable official and there is only his removal to clarify this matter,” Reyes Galindo said.
The local deputy said that Aguirre Abellaneda should be directed as straight as possible, however, it is delicate that he becomes a contractor, through third parties, which reveals a clear conflict of interest.
“How is it possible that the ex-wife, the son, the niece and others close to them have construction companies? What are we talking about? It is clear that there is a conflict of interest here. The Auditor became judge and party. Let us also not forget that the municipalities accused him of extortion; At the time they denounced that it forces to hire certain construction companies and a company that advises on control issues, which belongs to a person close to him, “questioned the legislator.

He also denounced the case of the contributions of workers of the Superior Audit of Michoacán (ASM) that have not been reported to state and federal instances, such as the Payroll Tax of fiscal years 2020, 2021 and 2022; similarly, payments to the treasury for withholdings of ISR have not been covered.
“Even state and federal workers and agencies have been affected by the bad actions of Miguel Ángel Aguirre. We have information that, of State Payroll Tax, ISR and fines, the Audit owes more than 16 and a half million pesos. Where is that money that has already been deducted from the workers? We cannot ignore such acts of corruption, the removal of the auditor is urgent,” reiterated the coordinator of the PT in the Michoacan Congress.
