“How to with John Wilson”: premiere date for the third and final season

HBO Max announced the premiere date of the third and final season of the comedy docuseries, “How to with John Wilson.” As reported in a press release, it will arrive on the platform on July 28. In this new installment Wilson continues his sincere mission of self-discovery, exploration and observation while filming the lives of his fellow New Yorkers and trying to give everyday advice on six deceptively simple and wildly random new topics. Recall that the second season had been nominated in the category “Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming” at the Emmys. John has changed the way we see the world and the way we spend our days. ‘How To’ is as unique as John is, he discovers everything without ever showing himself. We are so grateful for each season of this incredible comedy,” said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President of Comedy Programming for HBO and HBO Max, through a press release.Photo: Courtesy of the pressWilson said, “When we started working on Season 3, I found it exciting to think of it as the last one. It ended up opening up a lot of narrative possibilities that weren’t available to us before and gave us the freedom to try some really ambitious things.” While part of me would be happy to keep doing ‘How To’ indefinitely, I take great pride in trying to make the style and visuals feel amazing, and would rather end the show while this is still the case. Thematically, we also reached a vanishing point in the end, and it felt like a natural place to say goodbye.” “I plan to continue experimenting within the world of non-fiction and any ideas I have left will be put into the next project. The project of documenting the current moment never really ends and even if the work changes title and form, there will always be something worth capturing.”
