Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán.- When presenting her Second Annual Report of legislative activities, Deputy Julieta García Zepeda, president of the Board of Directors of the State Congress, said that her work is based on the commitment to contribute to achieving a fairer and more prosperous Michoacan, as reported in a statement.
She stressed that her work as president of the Board of Directors of the 75th Legislature during the second legislative year, was motivated to ensure that the State Congress is a reliable institution, which meets the needs of the Michoacan people, not only by ordering and carrying out legislative work, but by orienting the spirit of the norms to social justice. inclusion and development.
She stressed that she chaired the first Board of Directors composed entirely of women; “From this Presidency, a close relationship of respect and autonomy was achieved with the Executive and Judicial Powers, allowing us to generate agreements to positively influence the exercise of public power in Michoacán, being an inclusive and open-door Presidency, giving voice to all sectors of our State.”
The deputy for the district of Lázaro Cárdenas presented her report in the Workers’ Hall of the H. City Council of Lázaro Cárdenas, where she explained that as a legislator she presented 152 bills, reforms, decrees and positions, of which 31 have already been approved.

Before the Secretary of the Government, Carlos Torres Piña, the congresswoman reported that the initiatives presented strengthen the rights of girls and women; they seek to make visible and serve vulnerable groups, with municipal budgets for their attention; contribute to quality education; as well as to contribute to the fight against insecurity.
She stressed that, as president of the Communications and Transport Commission, she organized the work of the Open Parliament for the Citizen Consultation of the Mobility and Road Safety Law of the State of Michoacán, which allowed the elaboration and promulgation of a law that guarantees the right to mobility in conditions of road safety, accessibility, efficiency, sustainability, inclusion and equality.
