Bedolla reopens Government Palace for the people

Morelia, Michoacán.- In order for the population of Michoacán, visitors, students and tourists to enjoy the works of art that are in the headquarters of the Executive Power, the state governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla started the Open Doors program at the Government Palace.
After the restoration of the main door of this emblematic building in the Historic Center of Morelia, the governor pointed out “a process of patrimonialization and democratization began so that it is in use and enjoyment by the people, visitors and tourism, with which guided tours and cultural exhibitions are reactivated,” he said.
He said that now, the Government Palace will be a palace for the people, ceasing to be for kings and viceroys, and now the entire population will be able to appreciate the architecture, and the murals of the distinguished Michoacan artist, Alfredo Zalce.
Meanwhile, Tamara Sosa Alanís, Secretary of Culture, said that the fact that this architectural jewel of the Michoacan capital was closed to the public was a barrier of distance from the people, a symbol of distance and a wall that separated.
Similarly, the president of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Michoacán, Beatriz Pérez Torres, said that opening the doors of institutions and buildings represents security and a government close to the people, because it provides the opportunity to get to know these emblematic spaces of the entity up close.
Present were the Secretary of Government, Elías Ibarra Torres; the Secretary of Education, Gabriela Molina; the Secretary of Tourism, Roberto Monroy García, as well as basic education students and entrepreneurs.
