Christophe Dugarry is tired of talking about Mbappe’s future – MonitorExpresso.com

Mexico. – Will Kylian Mbappe stay at PSG or start a new adventure? It’s not the first time the question has been raised, and Christophe Dugarry, a World Cup winner with France in 1998, is getting a little tired of talking about the Frenchman’s future.

“I have the impression that every six months it’s: he stays, he goes… That bothers me. I’m sick of this. I want Mbappe to embark on a club project and stop being on a more personal project. I’m tired of hearing chatter about his future club every six months. I’m fed up. I’m not interested, I’m not interested anymore,” the former footballer told RMC’s Rothen s’enflamme.

2024 is going to be a big year for Kylian. The player’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in a few months, on June 30 to be precise, and he has to decide what the next step in his career is: whether to renew with the French club or move. Join another team. He is now free to discuss his future as of January 1.
A new horizon

Christophe Dugarry is clear about what he wants Kylian to do. “I hope he goes, with all my heart. I think it’s stagnating. I find that in his duels he is more and more predictable, he lacks strength, character in the fight. I find that he disappears too often from certain fights. With the attitude, with the arms raised more and more, it’s something quite negative that it sends,” he continued on RMC.

Dugarry is asking Mbappe to think more about the collective than the individual. “Until proven otherwise, football is a team sport. He wasn’t hired for the stats, but for his club to win the Champions League. This is not the case at the moment,” he said in Rothen s’enflamme.

The 1998 world champion also criticised Kylian’s attitude. “He wanted all the power, to be the leader of the team, and now that he is, he seems a bit like a little kid. Sometimes it feels like the suit is too big for him. When he wants his team to attack, his coach tells him he has to defend. When he wants to play on the left, they put him as a centre-forward. I feel like he’s a bit lost, there’s no symbiosis. I get it, because of what happened last summer, when he was left out. Things haven’t been going well at PSG for a few months now,” he concluded.

Real Madrid on the prowl?

In the meantime, Real Madrid wait. According to Marca, Los Blancos will contact Mbappe this week to see if he is still willing to sign the contract and will not accept ambiguity or evasion. If the answer is yes, you will be asked to complete and add a signature as soon as possible. There’s no longer any obstacle to doing so because it’s free. Real Madrid are willing to maintain the same conditions: an annual net salary of €26 million and a transfer bonus of €130 million.
