Adorni: “We don’t negotiate the content of the law, but we accept all suggestions”

The presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, said that “it is difficult to understand how some do not want to see the changes proposed” by the Executive and assured that the government wants “politics to understand,” when asking Congress to approve the bill on “Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines” sent to Congress by the national government. Likewise, the presidential spokesman, in a press conference at the Casa Rosada, reiterated that the content of this initiative “is not negotiable,” but assured that the Executive is open to receiving “suggestions.” We do not negotiate the content of the law, but we accept all suggestions. Anything that changes life in terms of freedom is going to be listened to and everything is going to be improved. I am clear because the terms have been confused lately. The law is not negotiable,” the official stressed. In response to a query about the procedure that the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) promulgated by President Javier Milei will follow to promote the deregulation of the economy, after some rulings that this regulation received, Adorni assured that the Government “is super respectful of the judiciary.” We understand that the DNU is neither unconstitutional nor illegal, therefore we trust that in the last judicial instance all the proposals it has received will be resolved,” he said. We understand that the DNU is neither unconstitutional nor illegal,” said Adorni.Regarding the options that the ruling party is handling in a possible scenario in which the “Bases” bill is not approved by Congress, the official said that the Executive “does not evaluate” that possibility. We don’t see a chance of that happening. We are on a path of understanding. We believe that those who proposed in the campaign will end up being supported. It is difficult for us to understand certain positions when we are living in such a decadent situation. It catches the attention of someone who doesn’t want to change this situation. We appeal to politics to understand that, on this side, things are done and that society wants them to be done on the other side,” he said.
